CALL for scientists: Juan de Fuca Flank hydrogeology II Expedition
The expedition is scheduled for July to September 2010.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: JANUARY 15, 2010
The expedition will be dominated by subseafloor observatory installation operations. It is designed to evaluate the formation-scale hydrogeologic properties within oceanic crust, determine how fluid pathways are distributed within an active hydrothermal system and elucidate relations between fluid circulation, alteration, microbiology, and seismic properties.
A full complement of scientists is not required to achieve the science objectives and we anticipate opportunities for participation by engineers, educators, and/or science communicators.
For more details, please consult the call in pdf format.
Application Process: Scientists interested in participating, please consult the ESSAC webpage: www.essac.ecord.org/
