Apply to Sail
Participation in IODP expeditions is open to scientists, engineers, professors, research scientists, technologists, and graduate students from all IODP member countries. Each IODP expedition includes a staff of up to 30 scientists and engineers from the member countries.
Interested Canadians should apply directly to the ESSAC Office by completing the application procedures and forms available on the ESSAC website.
A copy of your completed application documents should also be forwarded (by email or mail) to the IODP-Canada Secretariat. If you require assistance or would like to receive feedback/comments on your application, please make sure to contact the Scientific Coordinator at least one week prior to the deadline.
Information on program schedules, project descriptions, application procedures, and required forms for ECORD participation in IODP expeditions is available from the ESSAC Office.
